Moving products between warehouses may be necessary to redistribute inventory in order to maintain product availability, optimize transportation costs for shipping orders, ensure the necessary conditions for storing products, correct inventory errors, etc.

Important! To access the «Inventory movements» section, you must first enable stock management.

How to perform a transfer

Go to «Catalog» → «Inventory movements», where you will see a list of all operations with products. In the upper right corner, click on the triangle and select «Create W2W transfer»:

On the page that opens, there are three main sections:

1. Warehouse

  • Sender warehouse — select the warehouse from which the transfer will be made. It can only be changed if the table with the list of products is empty;

  • Recipient warehouse — select the warehouse to which the transfer will be made. It can only be changed when the table with the list of products is empty;

  • Comment — leave a comment on this transfer document if necessary.

2. Adding products

To add products, you can use a scanner. With its help, you can quickly find products by SKU or barcode. To do this, simply place the cursor in the search field and use the scanner. The product will be immediately added to the document.

To add products from the catalog manually, use two fields to search for the ones you need:

  • By name or SKU — the search does not require an exact query or full name; for example, you can enter part of the name or size or color;

  • By category — convenient when you need to add products from a specific category.

For convenience, in addition to the product name, its SKU, properties, purchase price in the product currency, as well as the available balance and the number of products in reserve in parentheses are displayed.

Note! The window displays a maximum of 50 results at a time, so enter the narrowest search query possible. You can combine the product name and property value, SKU, for example, «blue bag».

3. Table with a list of products

All products that you have added to the stocks receipt are displayed. The table consists of the following columns:

  • # — product item number in the document;

  • Name — information about the product (name, image, properties, SKU, barcode). When you hover over the «i» icon, the quantity in stock and the purchase price of this product in the catalog are displayed;

  • Total quantity in the sender warehouse — the quantity of products that will remain in the sender warehouse after the transfer;

  • Quantity — the quantity that needs to be transferred;

  • Total quantity in the recipient warehouse — the quantity of products that will be in the recipient warehouse after the transfer;

  • Total purchase amount — the total purchase amount of the products being transferred;

  • Total sale amount — the total sale amount of the products being transferred;

  • Actions — by clicking the button in this column, you can remove a product from the transfer.

After adding products, information about the total amounts, the number of unique positions, and the total number of product units will appear on the panel below:

To perform the operation, click the «Save» button. A record of it will appear in the «Inventory movements» section, the balances for the positions will be moved to the selected warehouse, and details of the changes made will be added to the history of changes in balances for each product.

How to edit or cancel a transfer

If you make a mistake when transferring products, you can edit it. To do this, simply click on the appropriate button on the right in the row of the desired transfer in the «Inventory movements» section.

When editing a transfer, you can only change the quantity of products being transferred and the comment.
