A barcode scanner is a device for reading information encoded in the form of barcodes, which simplifies automation and optimization of processes, increasing efficiency and reducing the possibility of errors.

A list of barcodes is more convenient to use than just numbers in medium and large-scale manufacturing. Employees will be able to quickly find the necessary data, and it will not even be necessary to give them all access to the CRM.

Printing a list of barcodes for order numbers

To print a list of orders with barcodes:

  1. Set up a template for printing by adding the «Barcode of order ID» field to it;

  2. Generate a list of orders; you can apply a filter to find the ones you need based on specific criteria;

  3. Select the desired orders, click on the «Selected: xxx» button, and select «Print list» and the previously created template. Or «Create orders list» to save this list so that you can print it at any time.

Order numbers from our system can also be converted to barcodes. For example, in Excel, there is a CODE128 command for this purpose.

Searching orders with a scanner

To perform a search:

  1. Go to the «Sales» → «Orders» section and hover your cursor over the search bar at the top of the screen.

  2. Click on the search field to lock the cursor in place. Now the scanned data will be entered here.

  3. If you need to find several orders from the barcode list, click on the icon next to the search field. Now each new order found will be automatically marked with a check mark:

Selected orders can be immediately printed, saved to a list, or bulk actions can be performed, such as changing the status.

You can also use the scanner to register products, move products between warehouses, and perform inventory checks.
