Connecting WhatsApp Business to keyCRM allows you to initiate messages and communicate with customers in the CRM chat on behalf of your company. You can send messages about orders, requests, and other events in the chat section or automatically via triggers.

Important! Before connecting, you need to create a WhatsApp sender and configure the sending service in Twilio.

Creating a communication channel

In KeyCRM, go to «Settings» → «Communications» → the «Chats / SMS / Email» tab and click the «Add new channel» button.

In the window that opens, on the «General» tab, fill in the fields:

  1. Title — enter any name for the channel;

  2. Channel — select «WhatsApp Twilio»;

  3. Twilio Account SID — enter the Account SID value from the Account Dashboard in Twilio;

  4. Twilio Auth Token — enter the Auth Token value from the Account Dashboard in Twilio;

  5. Phone — enter the phone number of your registered WhatsApp sender;

  6. Webhook URL — the link is specified in the settings of the sending service:

Once you've entered all the necessary settings, click the «Add» button—the channel will appear in the list and in chats.

If needed, you can also configure user permissions for the channel and additional settings for its operation.

Note! There is a 1,600-character limit per message.

Since message templates must first be registered with Twilio to be enabled, detailed setup instructions are provided in a separate guide.
