Some keyCRM users may have questions: What are orders and pipelines, and how can I use them correctly? To answer this question, we have prepared an overview guide for you.
What is an order?
The «Orders» section was created for commodity businesses (trading on marketplaces, social networks, messengers, landing pages, etc.). All control elements, interface, and navigation are optimized specifically for this type of business. The order contains information about the manager, buyer, product, recipient, delivery method, and allows you to print a receipt, perform fiscalization, and conduct basic product management.
Orders can be conveniently filtered by any status, the statuses themselves can be customized, and there is a convenient search function. So if you are involved in the sale of products and their delivery to buyers via postal services, we recommend using this section.
What is a pipeline?
«Pipelines» is a section that allows you to collect all inquiries from potential customers in one place, work with them in different pipelines, and create orders or cards in other pipelines based on them.
For example, initially, all new leads are assigned the status «new», and after certain actions by the account manager, they are «moved through the pipeline» to the next statuses until the customer purchases a product or service.
In addition to basic customer information, you can add your own custom fields to the pipeline card according to the specifics of your business. Directly from the card, you can quickly print a document, communicate with the customer, and send reminders to the manager.
In today's guide, we figured out how pipelines differ from orders, so we want to use them correctly and effectively.
