How to Add and Edit Suppliers

We explain how to activate the section for working with suppliers, add and edit them.

Suppliers are reliable partners who are the foundation of many successful businesses, especially in sales and e-commerce.

They play a key role in providing businesses with the products and services they need, so it is important to organize effective communication with them, order management, supply control, etc.

Where suppliers are located

To work with suppliers:

  1. Go to Settings → Products → «Suppliers» tab

  2. Turn on the «Use Suppliers model» switch:

After that, the «Suppliers» section will appear in the «Sales» menu. A list of suppliers is displayed in the form of a table.

You can sort by columns, and quick search and filtering are also available.

Note! If there is no «Suppliers» section in the menu, contact your administrator to grant access for your role.

How to add a supplier

You can add a supplier in two ways:

  1. Import from a file list of all suppliers: the file must have one column with the name, and contact details can be in one column or in separate columns in the required number;

  2. Create manually in the «Suppliers» section: to do this, click on the «+ Create supplier» button in the upper right corner. Fill in the name and contact details and save.

You can increase the list of fields by adding your own. They will all be displayed in the «Extra fields» section and available in import.

How to edit/delete a supplier

The following actions are available in the list of suppliers:

  • Edit – opens the supplier page where you can edit all previously saved data;

  • Delete – available only if the supplier has no orders.

Now you can work with suppliers in keyCRM!
